Given that today is Beta Freeze, we would have needed to have applied
these patches at least 2 days ago in order to make the final kernel
upload for Beta. How critical is it for this to land in the Beta
images? It seems from comment #2 of bug 613855 there's already a custom
kernel built and available as a .deb to install (and confirmation it
resolves the issue). Are you able to move forward using this temporary
patched kernel until the Beta Freeze lifts and we're able to upload
again? If not, any uploads must be approved by the Ubuntu Release Team
to warrant a Beta Freeze exception.
