Personally, I don't have any issue applying these patches into the kernel. If 
you _really_ want them you're going to have to write up a suitable SRU 
justification script and apply through the Ubuntu Release Team. I won't oppose 
your application in any way, in fact I'm be happy to help in any way I can.
