 -rfakeroot is default, and -i and -I have defaults so that you could
 use:
    dpkg-buildpackage -S -I
 or:
    dpkg-buildpackage -S -i

 (-I flags are for native packages and -i are for non-native ones)

 or simply always both:
    dpkg-buildpackage -S -i -I

 this will exclude otherstuff such as editor backup files, .bzr
 .bzrignore, CVS/ etc. but usually it's not an issue to exclude all
 these.
