== SRU Justification ==
Many (but not all) devices including an Intel 82579LM NIC have a
hardware fault that results in packet loss.  The bug reporter has tested
this patch for both Oneiric and Natty and can confirm they no longer
experience packet loss.  The patch cherry-picks cleanly into Oneiric.
It needed minor fix up's to apply cleanly to Natty.  Please consider
for SRU for both Oneiric and Natty.  I plan to also forward this to
upstream stable.
