According to the wiki page
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/PreciseJackDetectionTesting

We've tested the new jack detection backport kernel and PulseAudio on
seven machines. One user reported a regression; which turned out to be
one bug in PulseAudio and one bug in the kernel. I've fixed the
PulseAudio one myself.

For the kernel patch I was in contact with upstream (it was an upstream
bug), who provided a patch which I've backported. A new tree has been
pushed [1] and I'm awaiting results from the reporter that this resolves
his regression.

Given his regression is resolved, do you think the patches are ready for
inclusion into the 12.04 kernel? Would be nice to have the new stuff in
before Alpha 2, as that will give us even more testing of the patches in
an early stage.
