[Applied][Precise] Jack detection testing - report

Given that the initial set of testing has produced positive results
and that David has been responsive to testing feedback and quick to
resolve any issues, I've gone ahead and applied this set of patches to
Precise in order to land in time for the Alpha-2 milestone and receive a
wider set of testing.
