== SRU Justification ==

Impact: An i915 regression in 3.0.0-15.24 causes some systems to have
display issues. An unsigned value is being treated as signed, causing
the SSC being used when it shouldn't be.

Fix: Upstream backport that changes the type of the variable from
unsigned to signed.

Verification: Verified to fix the regression on LP #925350.
