Ubuntu linux kernel & ASPM

Hello,

Ubuntu distribution linux kernel is compiled with option
CONFIG_PCIEASPM which enable configuring ASPM policy at runtime
for all devices via /sys/module/pcie_aspm/parameters/policy.

Linux kernel has also option CONFIG_PCIEASPM_DEBUG which enable
configuring ASPM settings per-device at runtime (not for all
devices as policy sysfs file). But this option is disabled in
Ubuntu linux kernel.

I would like to ask if you can for debugging ASPM purpose to
enable also CONFIG_PCIEASPM_DEBUG option. It could help people to
debug problems with ASPM (there are lot of on different laptops
due to buggy BIOSes..) without need to recompile full linux
kernel.

And that CONFIG_PCIEASPM_DEBUG option just add new sysfs files,
so it does not have any other impact on compiled kernel.

But if CONFIG_PCIEASPM_DEBUG is disabled on ubuntu for some
specific reason, can you tell me it why?
