The commit message says the patch is valid for 4.1+ and vivid uses 3.19.
The highest firmware version supported in 3.19 for this hardware is -12,
but -13 is the first version to appear in upstream linux-firmware, so
vivid just doesn't support this hardware as far as I can tell.
So ack for wily, but for vivid I don't think it makes sense.
