This is a note to let you know that I have just added a patch titled

drm: Fix an unwanted master inheritance v2

to the linux-4.2.y-queue branch of the 4.2.y-ckt extended stable tree
which can be found at:

    http://kernel.ubuntu.com/git/ubuntu/linux.git/log/?h=linux-4.2.y-queue

This patch is scheduled to be released in version 4.2.8-ckt2.

If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to this tree, please
reply to this email.

For more information about the 4.2.y-ckt tree, see
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Dev/ExtendedStable

Thanks.

Subject: drm: Fix an unwanted master inheritance v2

commit a0af2e538c80f3e47f1d6ddf120a153ad909e8ad upstream.

A client calling drmSetMaster() using a file descriptor that was opened
when another client was master would inherit the latter client's master
object and all its authenticated clients.

This is unwanted behaviour, and when this happens, instead allocate a
brand new master object for the client calling drmSetMaster().

Fixes a BUG() throw in vmw_master_set().
