Could we afford to stage this change to be done first in Yakkety and later in
Xenial? I am trying to remember but I fail to do so. Just some vague memory of
having looked at something which became either wrong or inefficient due to the
large number of possible CPUs. Possibly fixed since then but I am not sure...
