Those kernels are intended to be pure upstream builds without any
additional features, so we won't be adding aufs. To get aufs support you
need to stick with Ubuntu distro kernels.
If your graphics issues are fixed in 4.9 then we may be able to backport
a fix. Have you filed a bug?
