For printers you shouldn't be looking for kernel drivers but rather
drivers for CUPS. You likely want to install the printer-driver-escpr
package. If you're still having issues you might have better luck asking
on the Ubuntu forums or Ask Ubuntu:

This doesn't indicated broken packages, and really you probably don't
need to worry about installing any kernel packages at all. If you have a
functional Ubuntu install then you almost certainly already have an
appropriate kernel meta package installed.
