I may have created a black hole for you. We use a set of tools from
[1]. Add kteam-tools/cranky to your path.
The expanded version of that command is something like this:
cranky chroot run jammy:linux -- fakeroot debian/rules clean genconfigs
Some documentation for cranky commands is in kteam-tools/cranky/docs
