two things to note for this patchset:
1. Cover letter needs to be updated as it contains 4 patches.
2. For the 2nd patch "selftests/powerpc: Give all tests 2 minutes timeout"
   why it needs to be backported instead of cherry picked?

And don't forget to update the launchpad bug.
