Thank you very much for the fixes! The Ubuntu kernel does not have
CONFIG_CIFS_SMB_DIRECT enabled, so we didn't notice the issue. We have
some requirements for patch submissions when it comes to their format
for us to apply them. You can find details here:

Specifically, this would mean that at minimum, we need a launchpad bug
to be created regarding this issue, the patch subjects to be prefixed
with `UBUNTU: SAUCE:` (since you authored them and they're not upstream)
and the commit message bodies to contain the BugLink (referencing the
launchpad bug). Ideally, the cover letter subject line would start with
`[SRU][N][PATCH 0/2]`.
