Rejected for the following reasons:
This got a bit ugly as this initial submission got stuck in moderation 
for the Ubuntu list. I unblocked it this morning without realizing there 
was a second submission with a slightly different subject. Looking at 
the mailing list archive this caused the whole threading to go wild. It 
looks sensible in my inbox, though. So I attempt to NACK the older 
submission and hope the remaining thread will make sense to people 
reviewing. Sorry about that.
