[Bug 8843] Crash of some sort when CD-ROM is inserted?

The mounting begins but the computer gets very slow, is unable to complete it
and everything gets almost freezed, apps cannot launch since the computer is so
slow. i'm also unable to eject the cd since this is an iMac (no eject button)
and u have to set a key combinaison. When pressed, the CPU is unable to complete
ejecting. You are eventually forced to reboot and eject the cd at startup.
One more thing, the CD-ROM device is not detected at all in Kubuntu, wich is
weird since I installed from a ISO.
