Ok, this appears to be a problem with your sound card driver (hda_intel).

There's two ways to work around it. One way is to disable the sound card in your
BIOS, and the other requires booting from the install CD and mounting the
partition to create a new file (blacklist the driver). Which do you prefer? :)

You could try booting with snd_cards_limit=0, which might work.
