Unfortunatly KDE programmes are not designed to run as root, please use kdesu instead (or right  
click -> Actions -> Edit as Root in Konqueror).  
 
You may need to fix file permissions issues with a command such as: 
sudo chown -R seth.seth /home/seth/.kde/
