This is a little speculative on my part, but it appears that using KWifiManager
will reliably hard-lock my Laptop (Mitac 7321 with a Dell TrueMobile 1150
wireless PCMCIA card) within 30 minutes.  Without KWifiManager, the machine will
run and run.  I'm not sure what other details are required, so please e-mail me
if you require more info.  I have a vague idea that I am perhaps not alone in
this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=39352&highlight=kwifimanager) but
again, this is largely speculation.
