The new update still doesn't work! If I go to KControl and choose french, then
all remains in english. I have removed the folder $HOME/.kde and I still can't
get french.

But I have an idea of the problem: with Synaptic, if I choose the package
kde-i18n-fr, select its properties and choose Installed Files, I see that all
the files installed are in /usr/share/doc/kde and that almost NOTHING is
installed in the folder /usr/share/locale/fr. I suppose that it is the source of
the problem.
