I have the above issue on Kubuntu Dapper AMD64. My soundcard is the Realtek850
(nForce4 audio CK804 chipset) using ALSA with the intel8x0 driver. Using
amarok-gstreamer with alsasink produces stuttering sound output with all codecs
on this chipset. amarok-arts crashes Amarok silently. System sounds play without
fault. Changing settings in sound control panel has no effect. Using
OSS/Threaded OSS results in dev/dsp error message when restarting sound system.
