As I know there is open source drivers for the ATI Radeon 9200 with 3D acceleration. I'm installed 
Kubuntu 5.10 RC install PPC CD on the Mac Mini. Driver in the xorg.conf is 'ati'. 
'glxinfo|grep direct rendering' shows positive answer (yes). 
The problem is with OpenGL programs. glxgears are slow (no fps in the console), cpu usage during 
the test is high.
