I did a standart kubuntu installation (release 5.04) and i upgraded it to breezy
and i can confirm :
the problem has not been fixed until today
and i make every-day
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

When you connect an usb device (pen, disk ...) there's a konqueror pop-up error !!
The pop-up tells there's an error :
"cannot read from /media/sda1"

/var/log/message show the device known as "USB Mass Storage devices"

the "df" command tell the device is correctly automonted :
/dev/sda1               127716      9444    118272   8% /media/usbdisk

And I can acces the device throuh an xterm or the file browser or a symbolic
link located on the KDE desktop ...

The bug comes from kde part.
