[Bug 40389] Adept displays error message after startup

Description:
Every time I launch adpet (or Add/Remove Programs) the following message
will come up after root authentication, but before the actual program
windows come up:

Sorry - Adept
-----------------
Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream

This has been the case since installation from dapper flight-5 media and
didn't change through updating.
