This seemed to first occur with Flight 6, which is the problem (IMHO) between using upgrades and doing fresh installs. If you do a fresh install on your laptop, do you see this?

Also, to the extent it affects this, the two machines being discussed are both desktops. Perhaps the Power Saver option is misreading something about their ACPI support that is different from how a Laptop uses ACPI?

If there's anything else I can do to help with further debugging this, please let me know. I know there was one other person in the forums who said they had the same issue.
