I think this was replaced by "Default Applications", which can also be
started by 'kcmshell defaultapplication'.

The componentchooser.desktop is hidden indentionally to not have
duplicates, see also

In "System Seetings", which is the default GUI config tool for kubuntu,
"Default Applications" can be found under "Personal".
