>From my log whenever the machine is rebooted or halted:

Dec  9 08:36:08 localhost NetworkManager: <WARNING>^I nm_signal_handler (): Caught signal 15, shutting down normally.
Dec  9 08:36:08 localhost NetworkManager: <information>^ICaught terminiation signal
Dec  9 08:36:09 localhost NetworkManager: <information>^IDeactivating device eth0.

Note the "^I" and the typo "terminiation signal"

And on startup, I get:

Dec  9 08:37:30 localhost NetworkManager: <information>^Ieth0: Device is fully-supported using driver '8139too'.
