[Bug 75569] kpilot flakey with palm t|x // nukes data

I synced my palm tx using kpilot several times. It was regularly
inconsistent in being able to even connect. It hotsynced several times,
but didn't actually back up any data. Further, several times it actually
blew away all data on my palm.
