The upstream bug suggests a confirmation dialog for this mode, as well
as what you said.  The confirmation dialog is going to be in KDE4, but
the dev didn't say anything about a more visible notification of it
being on.  If you still want this feature, you might want to comment on
that bug or file another one (upstream).
