[Bug 66890] Re: kate frozen when "Spellcheck Slection" is selected

I am using dapper. I installed ubuntu (with Gnome) first. Then I
installed KDE seperately (I'm not sure this will make any difference)
by using
apt-get install kde-desktop
Then whenever I set up the menu as in the description, Kate is frozen.
