Public bug reported:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/31866

Affects: ept adept (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
This is probably not an adept bug, but either a QT lib or X.org bug.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge can redirect this to the correct
place.

On my Sony VAIO PCG-F590K, in any KDE/QT app, e.g. adept, one-pixel-
width vertical lines (usually blue, but sometimes white) appear in any
KDE/QT app, most prominently in the menus.

I have searched Google to find a solution on my own, and the only one I
could find is Debian bug 22735 from two years ago. In particular,
http://lists.debian.org/debian-qt-kde/2004/01/msg00289.html has an
attachment very similar to what I'm seeing. Interestingly, that bug
fixed itself during a minor XFree86 upgrade and the KDE 3.1->3.2
upgrade. See http://lists.debian.org/debian-qt-
kde/2004/03/msg00175.html

I do have my own screenshot of Adept I will attach if possible.

(This might be related to an issue I'm having with one-pixel vertical
lines appearing in images in Firefox occasionally when scrolling, and/or
the fact that moving a window extending past the left side of the screen
draws a one-pixel wrap-around on the righthand side of the screen. (I
have no idea how to fruitfully search Google for that one.))
