How does Gnome do it? In Ubuntu, packages are installed by calling
synaptic automatically if they're not installed. I belive both Samba and
NTP do this.
If it' can't be done automatically in one step then perhaps there should
be a button that says "launch adept to install samba". Would be more
user friendly than just disabling all of the GUI controls.
