While I don't think this is the problem (I've got an Athlon 64 3200+, which is perfectly capable of running i686 instructions), what's an i686 thread library (see the second line of the backtrace) doing in an i386 distro? -- Konqueror crashes on Microsoft's site https://launchpad.net/bugs/51822
