Very easy to reproduce:

change localisation to english, restart x, katapult and alt-space works, 
change localisation to swedish, restart x, katapult kills itself directly after launch
change localisation to english, restart x, katapult and alt-space works. 
change localisation to swedish, restart x, katapult kills itself directly after launch

Repeat ad nauseum. Seen on two systems, one running a fresh kde-
installation (dapper), and one running xubuntu (dapper).
