I would say this is more of a request for inclusion of ksynaptics in
dapper LTS (dapperLTS+1, now, I suppose).  Changing bug name to reflect
that.

..but it does hinge on resolution of bug #3406.

Mousepad control is a very important feature for laptop users - some
mousepads are not very usable without this.  This utility allows setting
of where the borders are located as well as acceleration settings (some
mousepads are unusably slow or unusably fast).  This is a show-stopper
for some people (if they don't have USB mouse ;-).
