I have the same problem running Adept. In Breezy I had become used to
clicking 2 to 3 times before it started. Many times it would not start
at all or would start in user mode - not root. I found by looking at the
process table, there would be 3 or 4 Adepts in there.

Once I killed them, I could then run Adept in a terminal or as I
describe in bug 31824

I can repeat the bug at will.
