[Bug 24757] ctrl key and backspace don't work with NFS, NIS

The issue appears to be using nfs-user-server. After reading ealier post, I
switched nfs-kernel-server and issue went aware.  Not sure why, but
apparently has to do with nfs locking (I'm not a linux guru!).
