Could you explain what you mean by eventually?  Is this while trying to access the media or doing other things or just having the system sit around?  What interface are you using to access the media when the crash happens?

Could you describe the crash? Do you know what program crashes?Is there a KCrash dialog with a backtrace?

Does this still happen?
