 Thanks for your info Mornfall.
 Some other problem with screen settingns also showed up. Couldn't set
resolution to
anything but  640X480 or 1280x1024 and some times at startup the screen
would go to the low resolution.
This was fixed today by a new download of three updates. Now there is a
choice of three settings, low, middle and high.   The Ubuntu  people are
really working hard. Good work boys!
