Subject: kmail: Redirecting a message doesn't respect chosen identity
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.5.2-0ubuntu5
Severity: normal
When you redirect a message (Menu Message->Forward->Redirect), Kmail only
asks for an address for the recipient. It does not let you choose which
identity to use. So far that would be only a whishlist-bug.
However, when you are in a folder where you selected another identity to be
used (Folder->Properties->Sender identity) Kmail still sends the Message
with the default identity.
Of course, redirecting preserves the original "From"-header anyway. However
the redirector's address gets written in a new "Resent-From"-header. That
can be pretty bad for example if the default identity is a still private and
spam-free address. Then redirecting a message to a public mailinglist or
similar can reveal that adress.
So either the identity should be kept completely invisible (no Resent-From)
or the user should be promptet to choose an identity with a default to the
one that should be used in the current folder.
