Have tested Edgy and this has carried on through to the Beta - The monitors frequencies are not set up properly and the proper resolutions aren't detected (not that those frequencies would work until the frequencies were set up). -- Incorrect screen resolution in Dapper LiveCD https://launchpad.net/bugs/31830
