[Bug 64145] KDesktop crashes on startup of Kubuntu 6.10 Beta Desktop CD

This bug is reproduceable. On the second login (logout -> login: ubunu)
there are no crashes.

However the installer won't work anyway. The buttun "Continue" does not
respond on step 2 (time zone) and sometimes on step 1 (language). Is
this related?
