[Bug 64175] [edgy] reverts to kubuntu's usplash at each upgrade

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kubuntu-artwork-usplash

I have all the desktop meta packages installed (ubuntu-desktop, kubuntu-
desktop, xubuntu-desktop), and therefore the respective *artwork-usplash
are installed as well.

I would like to keep the ubuntu usplash, but it reverts to kubuntu
everytime kubuntu-artwork-usplash is upgraded. It overwrites my settings
supplied via update-alternatives.
