I am using the latest versions of all packages as supplied in the Edgy
Repositories. After installing kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins ,
kdemultimedia-kio-plugins, kdemultimedia-dbg, and kdemultimedia-dev
[which IMOH at least kdemultimedia-kfile-plugins and kdemultimedia-kio-
plugins should be installed default] the sound works - it appears that
amarok 1.4.3 has the problem.
