I'm not sure what you mean by "have not received an update on it".  To
my knowledge, I was not asked to update anything.  This is still a bug
on Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS (dapper) with the latest updates and backports.

I don't know that I will upgrade to Edgy just yet in hopes that this has
been fixed.  Was there ever an attempt to reproduce this?  Was there
ever a patch introduced?

See the attached screenshot of the problem.  Perhaps the very generic
icons for the "folders" may provide some insight.
