Recently, an annoying bug was reported the KDE developers, but they say that it's not a KDE bug but a bug in the distribution. See this bug here:

I believe that this is actually a KDE bug, but still you might want to
check it out. This is extremely annoying, because the standard kbd
driver from X.org 7.1 doesn't work for me.
