1 Affected, naturally both in konsole and yakuake.
2 Kubuntu Dapper 6.06.1, alternative install CD. (For me, Breezy wasn't affected, so I wonder at the comment where it says Breezy above.)

FWIW, I'll report the following also:
$ echo $XMODIFIERS
$ echo $QT_IM_MODULE
---> give a blank line
$ im-switch -l
---> command not found

Removing scim-qtimm resolved the problem for me as well.
