Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kmail

When deleting folders in KMail (1.9.1 as in Dapper Drake 6.06.1),
metadata is left behind in the KMail-directory
(~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail/...). This happens both for maildir and
mbox-based folders.

Example:
When a folder named "TEST" is deleted from whithin KMail, its respective maildir or mbox-file gets correctly removed, but the metadata-files like ".TEST.index", ".TEST.index.ids" or (for maildir) ".TEST.directory" stay behind.

Not really tragical, but it shouldn't be.

** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed

** Description changed:
